This policy explains what information the ads-monitor application accesses through the Meta Marketing API, how it is used, and the choices available to the account owner.
ads-monitor (the “Application”) is a private tool used by its operator to monitor and maintain advertising assets within advertising accounts they own or are authorized to manage on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). The Application is not a public consumer service and does not offer accounts or sign-up to third parties.
The Application accesses only data made available through the official Meta Marketing API, using access tokens explicitly authorized by the account owner. This may include:
The Application does not collect personal profiles of end users, does not access private messages, and does not gather data about individuals beyond what the Marketing API returns for advertising management.
Accessed data is used for a single purpose: detecting advertising objects that require attention (for example, disapproved or issue-flagged ads) and performing authorized maintenance actions such as duplicating, renaming, activating, or removing ads within the owner’s own accounts. The Application never changes campaign-level budgets or campaign on/off status without the owner’s explicit instruction.
The Application stores only the minimal operational state required to track its actions (such as identifiers of processed ads and their processing status) in a local database on the operator’s own server. Access tokens are stored solely on that server with restricted file permissions and are never exposed in logs or shared. No advertising data is sold, published, or transferred to any third party.
The only third party involved is Meta, whose Marketing API the Application calls to read and manage advertising assets. Data handled by Meta is governed by Meta’s Privacy Policy. The Application does not integrate any advertising networks, analytics brokers, or data resellers.
Access is limited to system-user tokens scoped to the specific advertising accounts and Pages the operator manages. Tokens are held in a permission-restricted environment file on the operator’s server, transmitted to Meta only over HTTPS, and can be revoked by the account owner at any time from Meta Business settings.
The account owner retains full control. At any time you may:
The Application is an internal advertising-management tool and is not directed to, or intended for use by, anyone under the age of 18.
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the Application’s functionality or applicable requirements. The “Last updated” date above indicates the most recent revision.
